Hi Ann

I came across your site researching my Terry tree - we have reason to believe that my Terry's,
more recently from Bolton, Lancashire originated from Ireland (possibly around the time of the Rebellion c1800).
I went to Ireland for the very first time last year, stayed in Bandon 20 miles South of Cork - wonderful people and can't wait to go back.
Really nice site with wonderful 'Gaelic Graphics' and you are blessed with good Celtic looks too!
Best regards

Ann,

I saw some Troy information you placed on a Troy website in the USA. My grandfather was born in Whitechurch District near Aglish, County Waterford. I was trying to understand how we may be related.

An interesting site. There are relatively few Smiddy families in Australia. My family, I believe, arrived here in Queensland via Melbourne in the late 1800's from England. My great grandfather worked on sugar farms / mills in north Queensland in the early part of last century. A short family history indicative of a nation with a short history.

Hi Anne Finally got around to looking at your website, when I say look around I could spend days reading it all, it's amazing, a little bit more than a family tree! I wonder If I am related to Michael Kelly from Sudbury, my folks live in Essex. I will enquire. Hope your well and putting your seating expertise into good practice. Have a good summer. Look me up if you are in the area, Cheers Adam.

Hi Ann - My name is Betty Ann Smiddy and your site is the greatest! I have extensive records on the Smiddys of Tennessee and Kentucky which fought in the American Revolutionary War. I will freely share my information with you. Exactly who was the original immigrant to US would be before 1772? I have been to the National Library in Dublin and their records do not go back that far. Do you know if anyone has looked at records in Youghal for early Smiddys? Thank you for this site!! Betty Ann

Hi Ann

Kevin, brother of Michael Kelly here. I really love the painting of your welcome page. Who is the painter? Do you mind me using it as wallpaper on my computer? Being a great reader of nineteenth century writers the painting really appeals to me. My brother always accuses me of being stuck in that century. Michael is more of the genealogy master than I could ever hope to be but I do listen when he speaks about our family history and I appreciate the work that goes into it. Mike works pretty hard at it. I may be going offline in about two weeks but I'm glad to have met beforehand.

cheers Kevin Kelly.

Hello Ann.

I'm Michael's mom and he passed the address of your website onto me. I am very impressed by it and the work you have taken on. My husband Patrick who died on Apr 4th this year was the son of Hannah Mary Gould. He is also working on my ancestry as well but it is a little more complicated. It was my good fortune to go to Ireland in 1988 and got to visit a lot of cemeteries, especially in Youghal.
